Sex therapy is a specialized form of psychotherapy that helps individuals and couples address concerns related to sexuality, intimacy, relationships, and sexual well-being. Therapy provides a safe, confidential, and judgment-free space to explore challenges, improve communication, reduce shame, and develop a healthier relationship with your sexuality.
Whether you’re experiencing a specific concern or simply want to deepen intimacy and connection, sex therapy can provide evidence-based guidance tailored to your unique goals.
As an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, I have advanced training in the assessment and treatment of sexual concerns beyond traditional mental health education. I am also a published researcher and author on human sexuality and sex therapy, and my work is grounded in evidence-based practice, years of clinical experience, teaching, and scholarship.
My approach is:
· Sex-positive and affirming
· Evidence-based
· Trauma-informed
· Culturally responsive
· Nonjudgmental and inclusive
My goal is to help clients strengthen intimacy, reduce shame, improve communication, and build a more authentic relationship with their sexuality. Our anxiety treatment sessions are designed to help clients overcome anxiety disorders, such as generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and social anxiety disorder. We use evidence-based treatments, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), to help clients address their symptoms and develop long-term coping skills.
Sex therapy is available for adults from all backgrounds, including:
